Contract Prices
Purpose:
This form allows you to add, modify and delete contract prices between the company and specific customers. A contract price record consists of Customer, Item, UOM, Cost, Price and Date Range. Contract prices will come to Sales Orders/Invoices by default before Regular Prices, Price Lists or Specials every time the specific customer buys the specific Item/UOM. The contract prices can also be added from the Sales Order by an employee with the necessary "Rights" (See Sales Order). Once contract prices are created, only the price and expiration dates can be changed.
Usage:
Add a new Contract Price:
1- Open the Contract Prices form by clicking on Inventory/Contract Prices
2- Press the "Add" button
3- Press the Search button to the right of the Customer Id field to search and select the customer you want to work with.
4- Press the Search button to the right of the Item Id field to search and select the Item you want to work with.
5- Press the UOM Button and you will see a lookup of all the Units of Measure of the selected Item. Select one of the Units of Measure. When you do that you are taken back to the contract prices form and you can see how the Cost Field reflects the current cost of this Item/UOM.
6- Enter the Price of this Item/UOM for this client.
7- Adjust the Start/End Date fields to reflect the time period where this contract price will be effective. When that period is over, the customer will receive the applicable price (Regular Prices, Price Lists or Special) whenever he/she purchases this item. However, the user can search for this contract price at any time and extend the time period if necessary.
8- Press the Update button to save your changes to the database. After you save the contract price, you cannot change the Customer, Item and UOM.
